Advatech Pacific has developed a low cost, lightweight, bi-directional, Tactical Cross Domain Solution (TACDS). TACDS is a production ready, rule based CDS that executes user programmable rule sets. Through its two rule sets (one rule set for each direction), TACDS provides automated data content inspection and message filtering in both directions between two security domains. TACDS rules selectively pass, block or change entire messages or individual data fields within each message.
TACDS enables seamless tactical data communication across different security domains while maintaining network security for each. For example, TACDS allows tactical edge users to receive specific, relevant situational awareness information without compromising the overall security of the Common Operating Picture (COP), associated intelligence data, and methods it might contain. TACDS' robust, automated filtering and packet inspection reduces manpower and improves data timeliness by eliminating the manual, error-prone, "man in the middle" operation.
TACDS can be tailored to end user's needs through its programmable rule sets. Its small Size, low Weight and Power (low SWaP) and ruggedized, tamper-resistant packaging make it ideal for tactical edge applications and can be easily configured for man portability.
As part of the USMC Autonomic Logistics (AL) Program, TACDS is undergoing full certification and accreditation.
